2016 Wolga End of the Year Breakfast

What a wonderful year it has been!  We had about 66 ladies adorned in their holiday wear enjoy a delicious breakfast, including Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.  The tables were just stunning with beautiful decorations from Sandra Lancaster, Lisa Jones, and Janis Turner.  
We welcomed several guests including:

• Linda Quick and Debbie Carter from Pink Posse-We collected over $800 to give to this wonderful organization
• Two ladies giving demonstrations on items to keep us safe
• Former members Mary Morgan, Bobbie Wilson, Pat Van Gelder, Evelyn Smith, and newly retired Carol Wells

Susan Gillespie and Beth Shepard performed a cute version of the song by Tennessee Ernie Ford's "16 Tons" called "18 Holes".

Beth Shepard presented the nominees for the 2017 Wolga season slate of officers.  They were voted on and accepted.

Milestones acknowledgments were given to those who achieved a first ever this season.

Breaking 'Something' were:

Diane Tchantz, Ann Henderson, Hesper Hall,

Sandra Lancaster and Lisa Jones

Player of the Year- Susan Clonts and

Most Improved Golfer-Ann Henderson

Ringers, Chip Ins, and Birdie awards were given.

Door prizes were given to everyone.

Finally, a Shotski was brought out and those who wanted to indulge did so... some more than others.  

Thanks to Janis and the other officers and chairpersons for all your hard work this season. We all look forward to next season in March. Spread the word to Club Corp friends who may want to join our group or who might want to join Club Corp.

Wolga Christmas Gathering

The WOLGA end of the year awards and breakfast will be coming up soon.  Please plan to be at White Oak by 8:30 on December 8th to start the festivities.   
We will have a full hot buffet with Mimosa punch and your cost will be only $4.00.  Please bring the exact amount in cash. Please respond by December 5 as we will need to give the restaurant staff a head count.  
We will also be taking up dues for the 2017 Wolga ($35.00 check) and West Georgia ($15.00 check) Leagues.  There will also be a box to collect donations for the Pink Posse.  Pink Posse is a local group who collects donations to help cancer stricken families in our community who need financial assistance. (For more info check out their web site www.pinkposseofga.com )  After breakfast we will have our awards presentations.  Weather permitting, we will again enjoy a 9 hole reindeer golf game!  There will be door prizes and a special surprise you will not want to miss!

Final Wolga Playday

Our last playday weather couldn't have been more beautiful! We were served appetizers and drink specials.  Several ladies were divided into teams for a Scramble and here are the winners!

Lisa Yoon won the putting contest.

Here is the upper half of the winners, Susan Clonts, Kathy Fisher, and Joyce Davidson with a 68.  Team Carolyn Schuett, Tita Bautista, and Beth Shepard had second place with 70. 

Our official season is over but the golf on Thursdays is not.  The pro is reserving about 4 tee times every Thursday beginning at 10:00 for those who want to continue playing a very informal, non competitive format.  

Check in by 9:30am and we will meet down by the driving range to divide up into 3 or 4 somes.  Come out and join us!

Finally, our end of the season awards breakfast is scheduled for December 8.  Ellen Connors has agreed to organize another Reindeer Games like last year.  It will be 9 holes of play after our breakfast.
