This is one of the times of the year we can boast how proud we are to be Americans, home of the free and home of the brave.  Let's pull out our red, white, and blue golf clothes and show our spirit on Thursday, July 2!  
Ladies, we are officially halfway through our Wolga season.  Can you believe it?  Many of you have not played many times this season.  Come on out and enjoy the fun and fellowship.  Who knows you may get the next Eagle or even Hole in One!

June 25- Cat Fight

June 25 was a big day for Barb Nadreau.  Yesterday during play day she had a chip in Eagle on Old Course #17!  Way to go Barb!  That makes 3 eagles this season already.

We had 25 ladies play today. It was fun being back on Old Course. Barbara Nadreau had an exciting day on the course. She had a chip in eagle on hole number 17. Way to go Barbara!!!!

Marty Bostwick

Lots of prayers are needed for the family of Marty Bostwick.  She has been a former Wolga and West Georgia Golf group member for many years.  Marty suffered a massive stroke recently and is now in hospice.  She has been a life long golfer and is 91 years young.  Let's all hope we are still as active as Marty has been all when we turn 91. She's an inspiration to us all.

June 4th, 2015 Results

 First of all, a happy 80th birthday to Shirley Hasty which is officially tomorrow the 5th of June.  Above is a picture of Shirley playing with one of her birthday presents, a brand new set of Callaway golf clubs!  You go girl!!!!! Look at that form!

 I think we all can agree, Shirley looks fabulous for being in this world 80 years!  She is pictured with her best buddy, Lanelle.  

Congrats to this threesome on winning their Chip In towel.  Hesper actually won hers during the Ringer Tournament and Charlotte and Susan got Chip Ins today.  Too bad Susan only shot a Gross 73 today with 3 birdies and one was a chip in birdie!

Here is a fun tournament that we wanted to share with our members:

Ladies, now that the weather is warming up we will be starting 30 minutes earlier.  That means check in at 9:00am sharp and shotgun at 9:30am.  
Here is the course assignment for June:
June 4-       Seminole
June 10-11 Handicap Tournament (no playday)
June 18-     Seminole
June 25-     Old Course

If you have not signed up for the handicap tournament and wish to play let Janis know by Monday, June 8.  Cost is $15.00.  You will get two days of golf, a very nice tee gift, a cookout and pool party at Bev Morris's beautiful home.  All that for $15.00, what a bargain!
