PLAYDAY UPDATE!!!

Schedule change - WE are playing at White Oak this week and next. There is some aeration going on at Summergrove.   Todd is going to hook us up somewhere for 9/15.  I asked about Whitewater.   He is checking.

MARK your calendars for the PINK Truck Tourney - Nov 11th at SUMMERGROVE.  For those who don't know about the pink truck this is a tourney to benefit the Pink Posse.  Not quite decided about the format.  Open for discussion.  Main thing - this is a FUN tourney!!  No pressure!!  Time to kick back and relax after our season winds down.   Hole sponsors be thinking about your holes.  Those who live here get their home holes.  Yes - even you Huchet!  And Laurie too!  I am expecting frozen concoctions at your house!   Linda, whatever you want to provide.  Goodness knows we need to drink before we hit on #4!

THIS week we play at Canongate again.  I think the game is odd/even.

Nice par Lyn and I am betting Susan is the one who birdied it.  Wow.  And I thought my 6 was a good score.

Hey ladies.  Need to update you on a change to our championship tourney. Because of reseeding of greens and readiness we have moved our championship to October 26/27th. This is our last week of play but feel it will be the best time for greens to be ready.

Bob Miller Funeral Information

Services for Bob Miller will be held on Thursday at McKoon Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. and the Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m in the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel.  Immediately following the service the family invites everyone to celebrate Bob's life at the Club House at White Oak.

 

Mary has already canceled golf for Thursday and we are asking all WOLGA  and Canongate I ladies to supply the food for this celebration.  We have no way of knowing how many people we are planning for, but estimate, it could be 200 or more.  Louise and I have purchased two hams, and two turkey breasts.  Please advise Louise and me what you will be bringing, so we can coordinate for this number of people.  If you are unable to make something and wish to donate cash, we will be glad to purchase the necessary food items that we are lacking.  Several of the men's groups will also be assisting us in this endeavor.  We are asking that all food arrive at the club (before 9:00 a.m.) PRIOR TO THE VISITATION.

Playday cancelled

Due to the passing of our dear friend Bob Miller playday for Thursday is cancelled.  The service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at McKoon's in Newnan.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.  Keep Marilyn and her family in your prayers.
