Our 2023 Closing Day Awards Breakfast was so much fun.  We had such a great time with friends celebrating our season.  We'd like to give a big thank you to Kimmie for doing such a wonderful job with play days all season.  It's a lot of work, and we appreciate her efforts.  Thank you to Hesper for the wonderful breakfast danish at the breakfast, and for all her work on our successful tournaments.  Thanks to Karen for keeping us straight in the finance department.  Thank you to Sandi for all her help with communications and pitching in whenever needed.  Thank you to Lisa for always being there to not only help out, but answer our questions and guide us in the right direction.  Thank you to Janis for being our secretary.  A special thanks for her work on decorations and goodies for our breakfast and especially for the hand knitted tree toppers on our table decorations.  You did a fantastic job.  And last but not least, thank you to Bev Martin for being our illustrious leader this year.

We will be hosting our charity the Pink Posse.  Your donation can go a long way to making a difference to someone right here in Coweta County who is suffering from cancer.  Checks or cash are welcomed.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Several of our members participated in the Chapel Hill Halloween Golf Tournament today, and a good time was had by all!  There were some great decorations throughout the course and lots of fun costumes, including an ice cream truck.  And just in case your tape measure breaks for CTP, you can always use string and the flag. Birdiepalooza!!!

Day 1 of our CLGA Championship was highlighted by a hole-in-one by Kimmie on Roquemore Hole #4!  Karen Cearley and Cricket Crenshaw were so excited to witness the spectacular shot.  

 We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara North.  Barbara was a long time WOLGA member.  If any of you have pictures or favorite memories of Barbara that you would like to share, please send them to Mary Louise.

I would probably not know any of you all if not for Barbara.   She insisted I come with her to WOLGA and I was so scared   I’d never played golf with women before but she brought me right in and well that’s how I know y’all......Lisa Jones

Huge shout-out to Hesper for winning the ladies division of the Coweta County Meals on Wheels tournament today!  We had such a fun time raising $5610 for a great cause.  Way to go Ladies!!

Green Island’s third annual breast cancer awareness golf classic. It’s always a fantastic event and we would love to have you back on our course. This year’s honoree is one of our own-Trace Copeland. Trace is a member of the West Georgia League and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer this spring. She has graciously agreed to shine a spot light on breast cancer awareness.  Please join us on Wednesday October 18th.  Registration for this 2 person scramble ends September 30 and you can email maryjane.holder@yahoo.com to register.  Leslie
