Results for Today - August 19th

Following are the winners today at SummerGrove for our game "odd or even holes":   1st Place        (30.5)    Irene Drage 2nd Place       (31)       Karen Borg 3rd Place        (33)       Pat Lawson        (Ardy Durden tied for 3rd)   Karen Borg was the only player to have a chip-in or birdie.  As a matter of fact, she had 2 chip-ins.  Obviously, she wins both money pots.  Congratulations Karen!   See you all at White Oak next week.   Lanelle

Results for August 5th

Before I give you today's golf results, I would like to announce that we all were "winners". Josephene had us over to her house for lunch after we finished playing.  It was "outstanding".  She made Korean barbeque with noodles, fried rice, salad and fruit.  It was so delicious.  Believe me, it was definitely worth playing in this awful heat just to enjoy the meal she prepared.  Thank you so much Josephene---that was so nice of you.   Today's game was O-N-E-S and the winners are:   1st Place        (34)    Janis Turner 2nd Place       (34)    Ardy Durden    Janis won 1st on card playoff 3rd Place        (35)    Madeline Rezba   We will not have our regular play day next thursday.  Our WOLGA Championship Tournament is Wednesday & Thursday(Aug. 11th-12th).   Stay cool----- Lanelle

Handicap Committee - Update of Scorecards

Hello Ladies - hope you are finding a way to stay cool this summer. It so imcredibly hot. Please be careful out there. We have done an audit on scorecards in the box and have found a few discrepancies on scorecards. One of the committee members will be meeting with you individually to let you know what we found. One problem found is that we are consistantly NOT dating our cards. It is helpful if you could try to remember to date your cards. Also - if you could use your first and last name when you put the card in the box it would be great. We have several people with the same first names and it is hard to determine who the card belongs to. Also- - it is important to record your scores as soon as possible after playing. An audit was completed from a day last week and have several scores not recorded and no card in the box. It is important to at least post your scores as soon as possible. It makes sense that the cards are not in the box, because I know I turn in several at once myself. Thanks to everyone - and see you all soon. Handicap Committee

Today's Results for 7/8/10

Today was HOT-HOT-HOT, but, we managed to get thru 18 holes without losing anybody. Although It was guest day, we did not have any guests---maybe when the weather gets better.   Our game for today was "low net".  Following are the winners:   1st Place        (64)    Marilyn Miller 2nd Place       (66)    Trisha Nease 3rd Place        (67)    Barbara Nadreau           (Bonnie Harrington & Shirley Hasty were tied for 3rd place, but lost on card playoff)   I would like to remind everybody again, on the sign-in sheet, please only write down the number of birdies or chip-ins that you have.  Do not put any other marks in those columns, and make sure that it is legible. Today's Results July 1, 2010

Today's temperature was much better, but the humidity was high.  The weather was still better than it has been. Todays Results - June 24th

Due to West Georgia at Mirror Lake, Newnan CC Invitational and the HEAT, there were only seven(7) players today at White Oak. The game was low gross/low net.
