Cricket and Susan played in the GSGA Senior Women’s Four-Ball Championship at Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course.  They tied for 3rd place Flight 2, and tied for 9th place overall.  Congratulations Ladies!  Great job!!!

Thank you to Denise W for organizing a fun day on the course with Firecracker Scramble.

1st low score went to team of Karen Sally, Tami and Tita.  They also won low putts.

2nd was Jodie, Denise W, Kathy & Marsha.  Their team won quickest round at exactly 4 hrs.  Susan and Beth won close ups.

Beth saw former WOLGA member, Carol McMeekin, in the Arbors the other day. She’s doing great and looks fantastic!  Pictured with Carol is Susan Gillespie another WOLGA gal.

A huge thank you for an extremely successful bake sale.  The super stars yesterday were Jeanie, Mary, Karen D., Denise S & April.  Beth also brought the popular aprons and worked to bring in customers until tee time. These ladies not only donated their time but gave up a beautiful day of golf.  We raised $708.00!!!

My goal had been $500.  Thank you again to all the bakers and everyone who had a hand in making this event successful.  Our male golfers were very generous and our ladies worked both courses.  We also had some neighborhood sales….wow!

Our 2026 Handicap Tournament is in the books!  It was a great tournament and we are so grateful that the weather held up for us.  Congratulations to our champion, Susan and all of our winners!!  Well done ladies.  Great job on the pictures everyone.

At the 2026 Jones Crawfish Boil

Cheryl Drewyer and Beth Shepard won 2nd place low net in the 2nd flight in the Annual Shell Classic at Peninsula Golf Course.  Way to go Ladies!

We had 5 ladies play in the Dixie Open at Fairfield Plantation this last weekend.  Susan and Beth finished 1st overall low gross.  Denise W and Pat finished 1st low gross in Flight B.  Cricket and Becky finished 1st low net in Flight A.  Congratulations Ladies!

The biggest shout out to Beth and Jennifer for organizing our best clothing sale to date.  We ended up with a grand total of $1,239.00!!!!  Thank you so much to both of you (and your husbands!) for putting on a fantastic event for our group.  Thanks also to Denise and Janis for helping with set up and post sales!  Thank you to all of you that donated and purchased items.  The bar has been set pretty high for next year!

Congratulations to Susan for finishing Super Senior Champion at the GWSGA Tournament last week.  Liz finished 3rd in Flight 6 as well.  Congratulations Ladies!!!

We have a great group representing us at the GWGA 2026 Spring Tournament at Jekyll Island.  A few critters on the course as well to help with incentive to keep the ball in the fairway!

2026 Solheim Cup Final Day

This has been the best tournament and so much fun.  A HUGE thank you goes out to Hesper and Denise for putting on an awesome tournament.  This one was a lot of work.  

The final tally came in with Dogwood with the most birdies.  Azalea had the most chip-ins.  Azalea walked away with the money and all the bragging rights as the tournament winner.  Congratulations Ladies!!
