Beautiful Day for Golf

We had a great day for golf and some great golf was played.
We had 37 players today on the Old Course.  We welcomed back an old friend Carole Cavanaugh and a NEW member Jodi Shepard.  We also had one guest today, Shirley Reece from Flat Creek Club.  Our carry-over Chip-in pot had some winners today.  Sorry for the kerfuffle on the proximity holes.  We will strive to do better next time, remember that on points play days the proximity will be flighted by points quota and all other types of play it will be flighted by handicap INDEX.  Thank you for your patiences. You may also check the portal for other members that have registered to play, plus see past results etc.  Just log in on the website with your Golf Genius credentials that you first registered with when invited.

Play Day Results for March 21st

We had 25 ladies today on Seminole.  The greens were pretty bad, but now Scott owes us big time for our sacrifice.

A few check-in scorecard reminders.  Make sure your label is complete with your GHIN INDEX, gross score,  front and back scores gross.  Please circle Prox if you wrote your name on the proximity placard. Please circle all birdies and draw square around all chip-in holes.  Put how many birdies/chip-ins not the hole numbers on the label. Club ID is your Canongate/Club Corp member number.

If you are keeping the master on your personal card, please put your info on the top portion and your teammates on the bottom section lines.  Make sure there is something in every hole for a score.  If you pickup, place the probable score/max score and an 'X' in the corner of that box.

Remember if you are switching to Green Tees or you do not have enough rounds you will be frozen at +2 for 2 Chickfight rounds. If +2 is a winner you may win.

Tee Off Breakfast 2019

We had a great turnout for our 'Tee' off Breakfast Thursday.  42 of our ladies attended to enjoy the breakfast that White Oak provided, and of course it was greatly enhanced by 2 lovely fruit trays, prepared by our event hostess, Diane Tschantz.  Thank you to our sponsor Josh Colwell of Edward Jones for providing funding for the event.
See our Photos Smile Page for photos.

I hope everyone enjoyed the morning.

We had our first business meeting of the season and discussed play day, the budget and the directory.  A copy of the directory with corrections will be emailed to the members at the end of this month. Please contact Lisa Jones, secretary, if you have any changes to your directory information.

The Golf Genius site has been updated with a complete roster of our 65 members.  You should have received a registration email to sign up for the roster and check your portal information.

Each week on Thursday evening or Friday morning you will receive an email from Golf Genius to sign-up for the up coming Thursday event. It is not mandatory, but it is a nice way to let the play day committee know about how many will be attending and how many holes we will need assigned to us from the pro-shop.  You can respond yes (playing) and then later change.  Changes can be made until 8am on Thursday.

Note: The Golf Genius app for Smartphones is not compatible for White Oak.  It is an extra fee to the club to allow use of the app and the site, and it is one part of the GHIN/GSGA that White Oak does not participate.  Sorry.  You can however set a short cut to your browser (just like this blog) to take you to the GG Portal.
