Low Gross/Low Net

This week we will be playing on Seminole with the format being "Low Gross/Low Net".  Remember we are checking in by 9:00am and shotgun at 9:30am.  
Reminder:
We will finally have a GUEST DAY on June 19th.  Green fees are waived for NON Canongate members only.  They pay only the cart fees.  Guests must have an established USGA handicap for competition.  Guests will need to check in at the pro shop.  
The format for June 19th will be Throw Out the Worst 3 Holes.  We will also have $1.00/per pro side bets on which LPGA pro will win the U.S.Open. This is optional so if interested start doing your LPGA homework.  We will take your net score on that Thursday combined with your pro's Sunday score.  Here are a few pros to choose from.  There are lots to choose from.

The Wolga Handicap Tournament was held June 4th and 5th with over 30 ladies participating.  Special thanks to Tournament Chairperson- Janis Turner and all those who assisted in making this a great tournament.

 Jennifer Dunn took this picture of Marilyn back in April.  She was 50 or so yds. out on #6 Old Course and flew in the hole for a birdie.  Belated congrats!!

Holly Seewald's New Grandbaby

I am testing the blog as Susan Gillespie graciously helped me get back on track.  A former Wolga member who moved to Los Angeles, Holly Seewald, became a new grandmother.  She will be called Po Po and here are a few pictures of Chloe.  She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz.

Linda Brown broke 100 for the first time during a play day.  Congrats!
(Ladies, make sure you tell me when you have a breakthrough round such as breaking 90, 80 or have eagle). We want to share the news with the group. You also get honored at the end of the year.

First place-  There was a tie with a score of 27.5 between Joan Land and Pat Van Gelder.  Tie was broken after looking at the two third hardest hole.  Joan came out on top.

Second place- Pat Van Gelder

Third place had another tie between Carol McMeekin and Patti Wall with a 28.5. Carol scored lower on the most difficult hole.

Next week is our handicap tournament. No play day next week.  I have not received the course assignments for the rest of the month but will let you know ASAP.

One more note. Linda Brown will have the scores from today posted before the 1st of June.
