Hosting Senior Men - Heads Up - April 21st

Hey Gang

NEXT THURSDAY we host the Senior Men. With some of us being gone last week this kinda snuck up on me! I talked to Dave Furlong and right now they have 20 signed up. I bet there will be more! I will have a sign up sheet for us tomorrow. If you are not going to be there in the morning to sign up but you want to play please send me an email.

Also, a reminder - tomorrow is guest day! We will be playing some kind of Best Ball format - most likely best net ball of the 3some - assuming we get to play 3-somes tomorrow.

FYI - the clinic put on this morning by Patty, Todd and Matt was just awesome. We worked on our short game. Friday they are doing one on the long game. Sign up at the clubhouse or call the pro shop if you want to participate. I think it was $20 well spent! Look for more to come.

Thursday - SEMINOLE

HEY GANG!

There has been some confusion about where we are playing this week. The rotation schedule that I was given said we play Summergrove - that's what is on my calendar too and that is what Todd sent me on April 5th - BUT apparently that was changed and WE ARE PLAYING SEMINOLE this week. So - be at White Oak NOT at Summergrove by 8:45.

I have not sent out last weeks winners yet so be patient. You will likely get both at the same time.

Fwd: Ringer Tournament for WOLGA

Hello Ladies:

It's time for us to start thinking about our first Ringer Tournament. The

dates are May 11/12. The cost is $15. I really hope everyone will consider

playing. The more we have the more flights we can have. The more flights,

the better the odds to win.

As with Match Play (and because it is early in the season) I will not be

requiring any more than you being a member in good standing with WOLGA.

I am out of town this week but Marilyn will be signing up on Thursday. You

March 17th Results - Happy St. Patrick's Day

HEY ALL! FINALLY! It's been a busy week - first I have been home for more than a few hours except to sleep since Wednesday! All for good reasons!! 3/10 results - There were 6 "brave" (a/k/a crazy) souls who played Thursday before last. It was cold & wet. FORMAT - net best ball of the 3 some. 1st - Jennifer Pierson, Louise Cox and Christine Campbell 2nd - Janis T, Lisa J and Margaret L 3/17 - St. Paddy's Results FORMAT - Best 9 - Front or Back 1st - Charlotte Myczkowski - 32 (won by regression from hardest hole(s) on the 9 chosen 2nd - Louise Cox - 32 ( I am seeing a trend here! ;0) 3rd - Judy Warner - 33 There several errors on the scorecards and several posting on the playday sheets. I will have them with me on Thursday so you can see. Mary Alice, Beth, Susan C, Margaret - you'll be proud, I got out my red marker like I was grading a test. Hate to tell you - but two of you were two who failed said test and Susan C wasn't playing! LOL! Susan and Lisa I will give the cards and sheets after this Thursday. OK?? Feeling bighearted because it was the first real week and there was so much confusion with the LUCKY game no one was DQ'd. But.....don't count on that in future! WE PLAY THE OLD COURSE THIS THURSDAY. Check in is 8:45 - drop dead is 9:00. If we find that we are still running behind that 9:00 will be pushed back so please try to be EARLY! Hopefully I will have my SH#* together better too! Inter-Club for April 2011

WOLGA's first Inter-club of the year will be MONDAY April 4th at 9:30 at White Oak. This is a FUN DAY with a team format. Sign-up sheet will be in the Ladies Locker Room Thanks Jane Buck

St. Patrick's Day!

Just a reminder!

Thursday is ST. PATRICK'S DAY - In addition to playing Best 9 as indicated in our book we will have an additional POT OF GOLF. If you want to play in the Pot of Golf you will put $1 in the Green Hat and sign the list by the hat. There may even be a leprechaun to assist you! After play you will find out if the LUCK OF THE IRISH is with you!! Everyone who participates will draw a piece of paper out of the hat when they come in. That will indicate how many strokes you get to subtract from your NET score. Pot of Golf will pay 3 places - 50%, 30%, 20%. Oh and - you'd better wear green or you will have to add back 5 strokes!! Thanks Susan for suggesting we add a little extra shenanigans! Salme and Diane, bring your camera! We will be on the Old Course.
