We will play on Old Course.
There will be a guest sign in sheet with our sign in sheet.
Reminder:
- If a guest is a non Canongate member their green fees will be waived. The cart fee is not included and is about $15.00 each.
- It will be a Best Ball format which means both you and your partner (guest) will play their own ball as in stroke play. Strokes are taken as they fall on the card according to handicap. You write down each person's score on the hole. Then drop down and write the best score of the two for your best ball score.
- Allow plenty of time for sign ups Thursday. Remember you must be signed up by 9:00 SHARP!
Example:
Mary and Molly are partners.
Mary gets a 7 on #1 hole, Molly gets a 5 on that hole.
If Molly gets a stroke with her handicap on that hole, you put down a 4 for that hole.
Total best ball scores and that is your final score to turn in.
Other news
One of our Wolga members, Dottie Steward, has been in the hospital for complications from her COPD. From what I understand, she was having breathing issues and had a reaction to one of the medications. Here is a quote from her husband that he posted this morning on facebook:
She is improving and getting stonger but not as fast as the Drs. want. They are talking Rehab to give her more concentrated attention by therapists. We will have an update by tomorrow. Keep the prayers coming. They are stronger than therapy. Dottie is a tough lady. She will b up and swinging a golf club before we know it.
