2015 Wolga Championship

Congratulations to Susan Clonts as she defended her title as Wolga Champion!  Her combined score was 156.

On Saturday, September  19, some of our ladies participated in the Pink Posse Event.  Money raised goes to help local families who have a family member with cancer.  Below are Janis Turner, Margaret Lauer, and Lisa Jones enjoying the event.

Several of our ladies are participating in the annual Delta Women's Golf Tournament at Reunion, Florida.  

 

West Georgia Ladies Golf Association Handicap Tournament

Several of our Wolga ladies participated in the Handicap Tournament of West Georgia Ladies Golf Association last Tuesday at Point University (Formerly known as Riverside Golf Club).  
Prizes were awarded to the top 1/3 of the field with several ties which were resolved by regress scoring starting at hole #18.

September 10 Results

We had 15 ladies play with Cart Path Only wet conditions.  We were fortunate to get to play on the Old Course.  Thanks to the MGA for letting us come play on their assigned course.

Wolga Championship Tournament

Ladies, you still have time to sign up for our two day tournament!

The tournament is next week on Wednesday and Thursday, September 16 and 17.   Cost is $15.00 and you will get lots for your money.  There will be a nice tee gift and lots of door prizes!!

 

There will be an overall low gross combined two day score winner, then a 1st and 2nd place winner from each flight will all be awarded CASH prizes.  

There will most likely be 6 flights as 30 ladies have signed up.  If you want to join in on the fun let Janis know before next Tuesday morning, the 15th.  Pairings will be done Tuesday afternoon.

It was decided that next Thursday (day after punching Seminole Greens) we would make this adjustment:
The greens will be very lumpy/bumpy so when you get on the greens count two putts and go on to the next hole.

Course Assignments for September

Two more months of WOLGA!  Where has the time gone?  We just wanted to remind you all that it's the time of year when the courses are being punched. Seminole is being punched next week September 8th and 9th and we are playing it on the 10th so the greens will be pretty rough. The pros tried to find an alternative course but they will all be undergoing punching or have golf outings already reserved.  Here are the course assignments for September.
